Okay, so whilst stretching your comfort zone is a good thing to do, it doesnât mean itâs easy or that it comes free from problems. Imagine your comfort zone as a circle around you. Outside that circle is another one â your stretch zone. Now the size of this circle can vary too â for some itâs only a little more than the comfort zone and for others itâs much more spacious.
But beyond the stretch zone is another circle â the danger zone and this one should be avoided. Itâs when you step into this area that you can completely freak out; anxiety goes off the scale and you end up closing down. Wh...
If your brain is simply trying to protect you and keep you safe, why would you want to go against that? Well, because we live in a very different world to the one when this part of our brain was developed. That means it can overreact and hold our progress back. Yes, we still need to exercise some caution because stepping too far beyond our comfort zones can result in us freaking out and our comfort zoneâs shrinking further.
But if you want to make any kind of progress, you have to step outside of it and stretching that comfort zone comes with a myriad of benefits too. Hereâs our top three.

Have you ever wanted to be bolder? Have you found yourself admiring others who seem to really go after what they want or who donât have any trouble speaking their mind and wished you had their guts? Well, thatâs exactly what this blog post is going to help you with today. Earlier this month we explored the things that can leave us feeling less courageous and why being bolder can be important.
