Are you tired with your never-ending lists of chores and responsibilities? Is your world spinning a little too fast? Here are some quick ways you can reclaim order and enjoy a simpler and happier life!

1. Choose five values that are really important to you. Find ways every day to move towards living in accordance with your own beliefs.

2. Align your commitments with your values. Are they working in harmony? Cut the commitments that do little to enhance your quality of life.

3. Focus on each task on your to do list individually whenever possible. Although we women are great multi-taskers, sometimes concentrating on one thing at a time will get the job done more effectively. This tip also helps with procrastination.

4. In work, limit your communication time so you can get on with your own tasks. Set a schedule that will help you manage emails and phone calls to keep unnecessary distractions to a minimum.

5. Be present! With so many ways to communicate digitally with family, friends, colleagues and customers at any time of day or night, it is getting easier to zone out of family life. If you want to spend quality time with the people you love, turn off all devices so you can give everyone your full attention.

6. Organise your weekly wardrobes so you know your family is prepared every single day. Select your outfits, prepare the school uniforms, sports kits and whatever else you need to get through your weekly commitments. This will save a huge amount of time every day.

7. Exercise. It clears your mind and revitalises your spirit. Choose activities you will enjoy but also ones that provide mental and social stimulation.

8. Housework sucks so don’t give it any kudos! Living in a show house is not practical so create a home environment that works for your family. Learn to chill out about toys being left scattered about. You’d probably be more annoyed if they were left on a shelf gathering dust!

9. Eat slowly. Many mums tend to rush through meals because of their never-ending to-do lists. Take time to slow down and catch up with your family at mealtimes.

10.Repeat, “Perfection does not exist!” whenever you feel overwhelmed. Do what you can, celebrate everything you do and believe in yourself every day!
