How To Reach Success!
May 27, 2019

Success can seem like one of those things that’s always alluding you. In our last blog post we looked at how you could create a mindset for success, but it does take more than that. Many people make the mistake that it either requires action or the right mindset. The truth is both are as vital as each other. In this blog post we’ll be looking at some of the practical steps you can take that will enhance the amount of success you have. They might seem obvious but, in my experience, there’s normally at least one of these missing.

Play To Your Strengths

While having a growth mindset is important and stops you from placing limits on yourself, that doesn’t mean that you have to master everything. Recognising your own strengths and playing to these as much as you can will help you to achieve more in less time.

As a mum or mumpreneur there’s a lot that can need doing and there comes a point where you just can’t do it all. When this happens, ensure you remind yourself of where you’re at your best and get help with the other things. Too often, I meet mums who’ve handed out the bits that they enjoy or excel at and are weighed down by all the things that they struggle with. Acknowledge your strengths and use them as much as possible.

Let Go Of What’s Not Needed

I’m willing to bet that if you went through your to-do list, there’s a bunch of things on there that don’t really need doing. It will be those things that you keep leaving and never quite get around to. Let go of them, they’re not important!

Letting go of what’s not needed can apply to all sorts of things. It can be feelings that have been eating you up – mental clutter – or clutter in your environment. When you let go of what is not serving you and clear space, you will find you have much more time and focus to achieve success.

Delegate & Outsource

Once you’re focused on your strengths, have let go of what’s not needed, you need to then outsource or delegate what’s left. It doesn’t matter if it’s in your home or your business. It could be a cleaner to come and dust and run a hoover around the place or a bookkeeper who’ll keep on top of your accounts.

It can be nerve wracking. You don’t want to increase your expenses, I get it. But if you really want to succeed, you need to give more time to what you excel at to propel you forward. Handing over responsibility for something to someone else who’s an expert in their area will mean it’ll get done in less time and free you up to spend more time doing what makes you awesome.

None of this is particularly easy but it doesn’t have to be difficult either – I’m here to help should you need it. However, by developing a resilient and supportive mindset and taking these practical steps, the sky really is the limit for you.
