5 Tips On How To Gain Absolute Clarity!

Feeling unsure about what you really want? Did the summer holidays give you a different perspective? We all go through times where we feel like we lack clarity in our lives. Often, we’re so busy with the day-to-day stuff we end up just going through the motions rather than considering what we really want. However, we’re here to help with our five top tips on how to gain absolute clarity.

 

1. Create Space

When you’re a mum or mumpreneur, there can be little space in your life. Your house is overflowing with everything that comes with having children and little time, and your head is buzzing with all the things you need to do. Add to that the constant notifications pinging on our phone and our minds really don’t get a minute to clear.

However, clarity requires space and creating it will also do wonders for your wellbeing. In your home, this could be a clear space where you’re able to relax. Make sure you remove any distractions and that it’s quiet (we know this can be tricky!). You can just sit and let your mind clear or perhaps try some meditation before exploring what it is you want from your life.

 

2. Write Your Way There

There is something about putting pen to paper that can unlock our minds. Some people like to journal each day, exploring their thoughts, while others prefer to consider specific questions when the mood strikes. Treat yourself to a special notebook and pen and try writing your way to clarity. Don’t worry about writing in fully formed sentences or whether it makes sense. Just explore your thoughts.

 

3. Experiment

When you really can’t find an answer, experimenting and trying things out can help. Although, you should be cautious and give the change time, as it always takes us a while to adjust. For example, if you wonder whether you would get more done getting up an hour earlier while everyone else is asleep and going to bed a little earlier, try it for a month and see what difference it makes.

 

4. Challenge What’s Automatic

Our brains are designed to do many things on autopilot. Without this, we would be much more overwhelmed. However, it doesn’t mean our brains are always right, particularly with our automatic thoughts and reactions. Sometimes, our brains can run on faulty programming based on things such as societal expectations, our upbringing, or trauma. As soon as you start automatically thinking or reacting, stop for a moment and challenge yourself. For example, if you say you ‘should’ do something or you could ‘never’ do something else, then question that thought or reaction. Sometimes, it’s not aligned with what we really want.

 

5. Self-care

Finally, if you want absolute clarity, then you need to take care of yourself so you’re at your best. This means drinking plenty of water, getting enough rest, eating well, and exercising. It is only then that our minds can really become clear enough to discover what you want deep down. Sometimes, though, clarity can still escape us. Overcoming those programmes our brains are running on can be particularly challenging.
